Taylor has enjoyed the comforts of home their last three games, but now they'll head out on the road. They will challenge the Lewis Cass Kings at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday. Hopefully Taylor focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up nine on Saturday.
Even though Taylor has not done well against Western recently (they were 0-9 in their previous nine matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way. Taylor enjoyed a cozy 53-36 win over Western.
Taylor got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Javionne Harris out in front who dropped a double-double on 14 points and 12 rebounds. Harris hasn't dropped below eight rebounds for six straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Connor Binnion, who scored 11 points along with seven rebounds.
Meanwhile, Lewis Cass scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Friday. They managed a 56-52 victory over Southwood. The win was a breath of fresh air for Lewis Cass as it put an end to their three-game losing streak.
Taylor's victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 11-3. They've been dominating during the matchups in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 26.67 points. As for Lewis Cass, their victory ended a six-game drought on the road and puts them at 4-8.
Taylor couldn't quite finish off Lewis Cass in their previous matchup back in January of 2023 and fell 49-46. Thankfully for Taylor, Tyson Good (who scored 20 points along with three steals) won't be suiting up this time. Will that be enough to change the final result?
