Basketball Game Preview: Emmetsburg E'Hawks vs. Estherville Lincoln Central Midgets

Emmetsburg and Estherville Lincoln Central are an even 5-5 against one another since February of 2020, but not for long. The Emmetsburg E'Hawks will host the Estherville Lincoln Central Midgets at 7:45 p.m. on Tuesday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Emmetsburg has three straight wins, Estherville Lincoln Central has 11 straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the court.

Emmetsburg is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They took their contest on Friday with ease, bagging a 92-29 victory over Storm Lake St. Mary. Given the E'Hawks' advantage in MaxPreps' Iowa basketball rankings (they are ranked 82nd, while the Panthers are ranked 357th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, Estherville Lincoln Central came up short against Spirit Lake on Friday and fell 74-61.

Emmetsburg pushed their record up to 15-4 with the win, which was their third straight on the road. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 45.3 points. As for Estherville Lincoln Central, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-16.

Emmetsburg didn't have too much breathing room in their game against Estherville Lincoln Central in their previous matchup back in January, but they still walked away with a 62-58 victory.
