The Falcon Falcons will face off against the Durango Demons at 3:30 p.m. on Friday. Each of these teams will be battling to keep a five-game winning streak alive.
On Saturday, Falcon earned a 12-7 win over Delta.
Meanwhile, Durango beat Farmington 9-4 on Tuesday.
Dawson McInnes was excellent, going 2-for-3 with one home run, two stolen bases, and three RBI. He is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last three games he's played. Landin Padilla was another key player, getting on base in all four of his plate appearances with one run, one double, and one RBI.
Durango was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .400. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .393 or higher in five consecutive matchups.
Durango's victory bumped their record up to 5-2. As for Falcon, their win bumped their record up to 5-0.
Durango's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Falcon has been making plenty of contact this season, having averaged 14 hits per game. It's a different story for Durango, though, as they've been averaging 8.7 hits. Given Falcon's sizable advantage in that area, the Demons will need to find a way to close that gap.
Falcon skirted past Durango 6-5 in their previous meeting back in May of 2025. Do the Falcons have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Demons turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
