The Bellevue Redmen will be playing at home against the Perkins Pirates at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the pair posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.
Bellevue entered their tilt with Oak Harbor with four consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with five. Bellevue breezed by Oak Harbor at home to the tune of 61-32 on Saturday. Given Bellevue's advantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 75th, while Oak Harbor is ranked 316th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Meanwhile, a well-balanced attack led Perkins over Vermilion in every quarter on their way to victory on Tuesday. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that Perkins blew Vermilion out of the water with a 60-33 final score. Perkins pushed the score to 44-20 by the end of the third, a deficit Vermilion had little chance of recovering from.
Bellevue is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight contests, which provided a nice bump to their 14-3 record this season. As for Perkins, their win bumped their record up to 9-7.
Bellevue beat Perkins 44-36 in their previous meeting back in December of 2023. Will Bellevue repeat their success, or does Perkins have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
