After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Olentangy Orange, the Olentangy Braves were happy to have found some success on Friday. They strolled past Dublin Jerome with points to spare, taking the game 66-48. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Olentangy also won the last time the pair played back in January.
Carter Hire was his usual excellent self, scoring 23 points along with three steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points he has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Ulysses Ponder, who scored 15 points along with five rebounds and two blocks.
Olentangy pushed their record up to 11-8 with that victory, which was their third straight at home. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 62.0 points per game. As for Dublin Jerome, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 7-12.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Olentangy will challenge Marysville at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Dublin Jerome, they will head out on the road to take on St. Francis DeSales at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
