The Thunderbird Titans entered their tilt with the Paradise Honors Panthers with four consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with five. Thunderbird walked away with a 65-52 victory over Paradise Honors on Thursday. For Thunderbird, this counts as revenge for the 45-39 defeat Paradise Honors walked away with the last time they faced one another on January 11th.
Thunderbird got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Paris Strozier jr out in front who scored 22 points along with nine rebounds and two blocks. The team also got some help courtesy of Will Clark, who scored 12 points along with eight rebounds and seven assists.
Thunderbird pushed their record up to 17-5 with that win, which was their 12th straight at home dating back to last season. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 63.9 points per game. As for Paradise Honors, their defeat dropped their record down to 13-10.
Thunderbird won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Moon Valley at 7:00 p.m. on January 26th. Averaging 59.4 so far this season, Moon Valley's high-powered offense has been in full-swing lately, so Thunderbird better be ready for a challenge. As for Paradise Honors, they won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Shadow Mountain at 7:00 p.m. on January 26th. Hopefully Shadow Mountain focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 25 last Tuesday.
