Lawrence County is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. Everything went their way against Hatton on Tuesday as they made off with a 15-3 win. The Red Devils have beaten the Hornets the last three times they've met, but they better watch out: this was the closest the Hornets has come to flipping the script.
Bella Cross made a big impact no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, pitching one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. Cross was even better at the plate, going 2-for-5 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. That's the most runs she has posted since back in April of 2025.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Alivia Templeton, who went a perfect 5-for-5 with two stolen bases, three runs, and three RBI. Those five hits gave her a new career-high. Ava Templeton was another key player, going 1-for-4 with two runs and one RBI.
Meanwhile, Oak Mountain was not able to break out of their rough patch last Saturday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat dating back to last season. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 5-4 heartbreaker at the hands of Auburn.
Marian Cummings was cooking despite her team's loss, going 2-for-3 with one triple, two RBI, and one run. That triple was her first of the season.
Oak Mountain's loss dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Lawrence County, their victory bumped their record up to 5-2.
Oak Mountain's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Lawrence County has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .449. It's a different story for Oak Mountain, though, as they've only averaged .360. Will they be able to contain Lawrence County's hitters?
