Climax-Scotts has won six straight games at home (dating back to last season), while Mendon has won six straight on the road also dating back to last season, but those streaks won't matter much on Tuesday. The Panthers will host the Hornets at 5:00 p.m. Climax-Scotts is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 9.2 runs per game this season.

Climax-Scotts is probably headed into the matchup with a chip on their shoulder considering Norrix just ended the team's three-game winning streak on Friday. They fell 9-4 to the Knights.

Climax-Scotts saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Logan Gilbert, who went 1-for-4 with four stolen bases and two runs. Gilbert has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last four times he's played. Ben Nelson also deserves some recognition as he brought in his first RBI of the season.

Meanwhile, while Mendon put up some runs on Thursday, the same can't be said for Burr Oak. The Hornets were the clear victors by a 10-0 margin over the Bobcats. The Hornets haven't had any issues with the Bobcats recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive victory against them.

Cam Bingaman was incredible, going a perfect 2-for-2 with four stolen bases, three runs, and two RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Jerry Batten, who got on base in all three of his plate appearances with two stolen bases, two RBI, and one run.

Mendon always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .577. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Burr Oak only posted an OBP of .211.

Mendon's win bumped their record up to 2-0. As for Climax-Scotts, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-2.

Climax-Scotts was able to grind out a solid victory over Mendon in their previous meeting back in May of 2024, winning 4-0. Will the Panthers repeat their success, or do the Hornets have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
