After flying high against the Dayspring Academy Shires last Monday, the Harpeth Indians came back down to earth. Harpeth was dealt a 65-37 defeat at the hands of Sycamore on Friday. Harpeth was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Sycamore apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in February.
Leading Sycamore to victory were Lucas Morris and Hicks Hunter. Morris scored 15 points along with 7 rebounds, while Hunter scored 13 points along with 5 rebounds. Hunter continues to roll, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played. Noah Raby was another key contributor, scoring 7 points along with 5 rebounds.
Harpeth's defeat dropped their record down to 2-2. As for Sycamore, their victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 5-3.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Harpeth will take on Liberty Creek at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Sycamore, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Stewart County at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Stewart County is still on the hunt for that elusive first 'W'.
