Basketball Recap: Christian Academy Piles Up the Points Against Hauser

There's no place like home for Christian Academy, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Tuesday. They took their matchup on Saturday with ease, bagging a 55-24 victory over the Hauser Jets. The Warriors have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won six games by 25 points or more this season.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Christian Academy to victory, but perhaps none more so than Carly Stevens, who posted 16 points in addition to six rebounds and four steals. That's the most points Stevens has posted since back in December of 2023. The team also got some help courtesy of Alexus Bryant, who went 5 for 9 on her way to 13 points and six boards.

Christian Academy smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with ten offensive rebounds. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Hauser only pulled down two offensive boards.

Despite the loss, Hauser still got an impressive performance from Norah Berkenstock, who scored 13 points. Leah Manley also deserves some recognition as she grabbed her first steal of the season.

Christian Academy is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six contests, which provided a nice bump to their 8-10 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 54.7 points per game. As for Hauser, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 10-12.

Christian Academy didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 58-20 win against Crothersville on the 27th. As for Hauser, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 42-27 loss against North Decatur on the 28th.
