The Hale County Wildcats put another one in the bag on Monday to keep their perfect season alive. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat University Charter 80-40 on the road. That's another feather in the cap for Hale County, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.
When it comes to explaining why University Charter lost, one person who can't be blamed is Craig Ellington. Despite the final result, he scored 11 points along with 5 rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Zy'Darrius Harris, who scored 12 points along with 7 rebounds.
Hale County has yet to lose a matchup on the road this season, leaving them with a 5-0 record. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 73.0 points per game. As for University Charter, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-3.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Hale County will take on Central at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Central will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Alabama Rankings (they are ranked 97th, while Hale County is ranked 23rd). As for University Charter, they will head out on the road to face off against Keith at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
