The Trinity Wolves's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their fifth straight loss. They were outmatched by Weed on the road and fell 88-31. Trinity was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 42-19.
Valen Vonmilhoan was Trinity's leading scorer, having posted eight points.
Elliot Grigsby held things down on the boards with five rebounds. He took the lead distributing the ball, coming up with two assists.
Trinity has not been sharp recently, as they've lost six of their last seven games, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-13 record this season. As for Weed, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 14-5.
Trinity will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Fall River at 8:30 p.m. As for Weed, they will head out on the road to square off against Etna at 8:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Etna will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps California Rankings (they are ranked 984th, while Weed is ranked 307th).
