Trinity/New England scored a stunning upset when it knocked off St. Mary's Central, 35-34. At the time, the Saints was ranked 20th in the state, while the Titans was 30th.
Trevor Zacher and Cody Nelson provided fans with a highlight when they connected against Bottineau. The connection was good for 63 yards, the longest such play in AA West this season.
Beulah's offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Zacher threw for 167 and one touchdown and Nelson had 122 yards receiving. On the ground Karson Hintz chipped in 106 yards. Patrick Becker helped Beulah's passing attack out by catching two balls for 20 yards.
Beulah's offense has been unstoppable this season and the Miners feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Zacher has thrown for 1012 yards and six touchdowns this season, while Jesse Hettich has 18 catches for 343 yards. Hintz leads the league in rushing with 805 yards.
The marquee game in the league this week will be the clash between the Miners and Bishop Ryan/Sawyer. Beulah enters the game ranked fifth in the state, while the Lions ranks 15th.
The Miners extended the longest winning streak in AA West this week by beating the Braves, 21-18. This was the team's sixth consecutive win.
