Meadville is 1-9 against Cathedral Prep since May of 2019 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The Bulldogs will host the Ramblers at 4:00 p.m. Cathedral Prep took a loss in their last matchup and will be looking to turn the tables on Meadville, who comes in off a win.
On Wednesday, Meadville needed a bit of extra time to put away Erie. They won by a run and slipped past the Royals 5-4. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Bulldogs have posted since May 21, 2024.

04/09/25 vs Erie | 1 |
Jacoby Thompson and Aj Feleppa made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, Thompson tossed 2.2 innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Meanwhile, Feleppa struck out seven batters over four innings while giving up just one earned run off two hits. Thompson also tossed a walk, which is notable because Meadville is undefeated when he allows at most one walk, but 1-2 otherwise. At bat, Thompson scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-4, while Feleppa scored a run while going 2-for-4. That's the most hits Feleppa has posted since back in March of 2024.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Aiden Kliest, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with one stolen base and one RBI. That stolen base was his first of the season. Ian Miller was another key player, scoring a run and stealing two bases while going 1-for-4.
Meanwhile, Cathedral Prep didn't have quite enough to beat General McLane on Wednesday and fell 5-4. The Ramblers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Andrew Costello was cooking despite his team's loss, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with two stolen bases and two RBI. Costello is crushing it when it comes to stolen bases: he's snagged at least one every time he's taken the field this season.
The victory made it two in a row for Meadville and bumps their season record up to 4-2. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 6 runs in those games. As for Cathedral Prep, their loss dropped their record down to 3-3.
Meadville might still be hurting after the 14-0 defeat they got from Cathedral Prep in their previous matchup back in May of 2024. Will the Bulldogs have more luck at home instead of on the road? Come back here after the game to get an analysis of the match and other baseball content.
