The Danville Warriors came tearing into Tuesday's matchup with three straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 21.7 points) and they left with even more momentum. They came out on top against Triton Central by a score of 46-33. That's another feather in the cap for Danville, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.
Danville's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Emma Ancelet, who scored 14 points along with seven rebounds and five assists. The team also got some help courtesy of Ava Walls, who scored 12 points.
Danville has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won nine of their last ten matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 19-3 record this season. As for Triton Central, their loss dropped their record down to 16-6.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Danville won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Western Boone at 6:00 p.m. on January 24th. Western Boone will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Indiana Rankings (they are ranked 270th, while Danville is ranked 43rd). As for Triton Central, they will head out on the road to square off against Beech Grove at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Hopefully Beech Grove focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 15 last Thursday.
