After a string of seven wins, The Ogallala Indians''s good fortune finally ran out on Friday. They fell to Auburn 36-32. This was one game where the offenses had no trouble playing at a high level.
Despite the defeat, Ogallala had strong showings from Caden Rezac, who gained 240 total yards, and Harry Caskey, who rushed for 112 yards. Rezac's longest rush was for an incredible 73 yards.
It was another big night for Maverick Binder, who rushed for 192 yards and four touchdowns while picking up 7.4 yards per carry. Binder hasn't dropped below 100 rushing yards for five straight games. Nixon Ligouri and his 96 yards on the ground were also a key factor in Auburn's win.
Ogallala's loss dropped their record down to 7-3. As for Auburn, their victory was their fourth straight at home, bumping their overall record up to 8-2.
Ogallala does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Auburn will take on Boone Central at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Boone Central presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Auburn in Nebraska (Boone Central is ranked third, while Auburn is ranked 37th).
