The Boiling Springs Bubblers will face off against the Northern York Polar Bears at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Boiling Springs is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 10.8 runs per game this season.
Boiling Springs barely beat Waynesboro the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. Boiling Springs put the hurt on Waynesboro with a sharp 19-7 win on Monday. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Bubblers considering their one-run performance the contest before.

Mason Labuda made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, striking out seven batters over three innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off one hit. That's the most strikeouts he has posted since back in May of 2024. He was also stellar in the batter's box, going 3-for-5 with three runs and four RBI.
In other pitching news, Matt Wilson looked comfortable as he pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits.
Back at the plate, Dom Beck was incredible, going a perfect 5-for-5 with seven RBI and two runs. With that strong performance, he is now averaging an impressive 3.5 RBI per game. Another player making a difference was Chance Flor, who scored five runs while getting on base in five of his six plate appearances.
Boiling Springs was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .500. That's the best batting average they've posted all season.
Meanwhile, Northern York won against Spring Grove two weeks ago with five runs and they decided to stick to that run total again on Monday. Northern York beat James Buchanan by the very same score they won with in their prior game: 5-4. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Polar Bears.
Ambrose Depasqua tossed a big game, striking out seven batters over five innings while giving up just two earned (and one unearned) runs off four hits.
On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Ryland Yinger, who went 2-for-3 with one home run, three runs, and one double.
Northern York's victory bumped their record up to 2-0. As for Boiling Springs, the win got them back to even at 2-2.
Boiling Springs skirted past Northern York 4-3 in their previous matchup back in April of 2024. Will Boiling Springs repeat their success, or does Northern York has a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
