The Worthington Christian Warriors had to kick off their season on the road on Wednesday, but they showed no ill effects. They were the clear victor by a 56-33 margin over Bishop Hartley. This was payback for Worthington Christian, who suffered a 47-35 loss the last time these two teams met.
Bishop Hartley's lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Miah Smith, who scored 10 points along with 6 rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Eva McKnight, who scored 7 points along with 8 rebounds.
Worthington Christian's victory bumped their record up to 1-0. As for Bishop Hartley, their loss dropped their record down to 1-1.
Worthington Christian will head out on the road to face off against Buckeye Valley at 5:00 p.m. on Saturday. Hopefully Buckeye Valley focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up ten on Tuesday. As for Bishop Hartley, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Reynoldsburg at 7:30 p.m.
