It was a good run, but  Cortez unfortunately witnessed the end of their  nine-game winning streak on Monday. The  contest between them and the Arcadia Titans didn't end well, with the Cortez Colts falling  72-56.
 Despite the  defeat, Cortez saw an underclassman step up: sophomore  Cassius Henderson  went 11 of 14  en route to 24 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most  points  Henderson has scored all season.  Nygel Lindsey was another key player,  almost  dropping  a double-double on 16  points and nine  rebounds.
Cortez's loss dropped their record down to 9-2. As for Arcadia, they have  been performing  incredibly well recently as they've  won seven of their last eight games,  which provided a nice bump to their 10-6 record  this season.
 Cortez didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next  matchup,  an  80-22  win against Desert Sunrise on the 15th. As for Arcadia, they also  wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next  contest,  a  76-56  defeat against Saguaro on the 15th.
