The biggest upset of the week belonged to Mannford, who took down 146th ranked Harrah, 14-7. Luke May threw for 82 yards and ran for 73 yards in the win.
Joseph Wood and Zaylon Mahtapene provided fans with a highlight when they connected against Tecumseh. The connection was good for 61 yards, the longest such play in 4A District 2 this season.
McLoud's dynamic duo of Wood and Mahtapene proved tough for the Savages to stop, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week. Wood threw for 211 yards and one touchdown and Mahtapene had 124 yards receiving. Will Olds helped McLoud's passing attack out by catching seven balls for 50 yards.
Austin Carroll made the biggest impact on defense this week as the Redskins beat Tecumseh. The 6-foot-0 senior recorded one fumble.
Chavez Wyatt was the most productive running back in the league this week. He ran for 132 yards on 16 carries as Douglass bested Greg George's team. Teammate Christopher High added to the ground attack by rushing for 117 yards.
Eric Cardin's team's Wood and Mahtapene have formed a dynamic duo this season, leading the league in both passing and receiving yards. Wood has thrown for 842 yards this season, while Mahtapene, a 5-foot-10 receiver, has 20 catches for 372 yards. High from the Trojans leads the league in rushing with 766 yards.
A big matchup in 4A District 2 this week will be when Ada takes on Glenpool. The Cougars are in first place, while the Warriors are in fifth place.
Ada extended the longest winning streak in the league this week by beating Santa Fe South, 55-6. The victory was the sixth in a row for Matt Weber's team.
