Canton has gone 8-2 against Cowanesque Valley recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Thursday. The Warriors will head out to challenge the Indians at 4:30 p.m. Canton is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.8 runs per game this season.
Canton barely beat Sayre the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Warriors blew past the Redskins 13-5 on Tuesday. The Warriors haven't had any issues with the Redskins recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive victory against them.

Michael Beers made a splash while hitting and pitching. He tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. He has been consistent for a while: he hasn't given up more than two walks in nine consecutive appearances. He was also stellar in the batter's box, going 3-for-4 with three runs, one stolen base, and two RBI.
In other batting news, Ben Fitch was incredible, going 3-for-5 with one home run, three runs, and four RBI. He has been hot, having also posted at least one stolen base the last five times he's played. Another player making a difference was Carson Castle, who went 1-for-4 with two runs and one stolen base.
Meanwhile, Cowanesque Valley hadn't done well against Wellsboro recently (they were 0-9 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Monday. The Indians skirted past the Hornets 7-5. Winning may never get old, but the Indians sure are getting used to it with their fourth in a row.
Cowanesque Valley saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Hunter Simonds, who went 1-for-3 with two RBI.
Cowanesque Valley pushed their record up to 8-1 with the win, which was their fourth straight at home. The home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.8 runs on average over those games. As for Canton, their record is now 3-7.
The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Thursday as neither team is afraid to steal. Canton has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 4.9 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like Cowanesque Valley struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 4.4 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.
Canton might still be hurting after the 12-4 defeat they got from Cowanesque Valley in their previous meeting back in March. Can the Warriors avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
