The Whiteland Warriors suffered their closest defeat yet this season on Friday. They fell just short of Franklin Community by a score of 58-55. While losing is never fun, Whiteland can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Indiana basketball rankings (they are ranked 71st, while Franklin Community is ranked tenth).
Several Warriors players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Jaskirat Banwait, who scored 12 points along with six rebounds and five assists.
