Carolina M's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Catie Alexander led the charge by scoring 21 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Alexander has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Abigail Faison, who scored six points along with eight rebounds.
Emerson Waldorf's defeat dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Carolina M, their win was their 12th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 6-3.
Emerson Waldorf will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Cristo Rey Research Triangle at 4:15 p.m. on February 8th. As for Carolina M, they will head out on the road to face off against South Wake at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
