The Crescenta Valley Falcons are taking a road trip to challenge the Burroughs Bears at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
Crescenta Valley's pitching crew heads into the match hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Tuesday. Everything went their way against Pasadena as they made off with a 20-0 victory. The win was familiar territory for the Falcons, who have now won three games in a row.

Carley Mulcahey made a splash no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out nine batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits (and not a single walk). She has been consistent for a while: she hasn't given up more than two walks in 12 consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, going a perfect 2-for-2 with three RBI and one double. Those three RBI gave her a new career-high.
In other pitching news, Chloe Mulcahey looked comfortable as she tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than two walks in six consecutive appearances.
Back at the plate, Mila Reddy was incredible, firing off two home runs, four runs, and three RBI while going 4-for-4. Those four hits gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Jasmine Hernandez, who went a perfect 4-for-4 with four runs, four RBI, and one double.
Crescenta Valley kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 20 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least eight hits in ten consecutive contests.
Meanwhile, Burroughs had already won four in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 10.8 runs) and they went ahead and made it five on Tuesday. They put the hurt on the Nitros with a sharp 16-2 victory.
Kalani Miramontes was a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she pitched three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Miramontes was also big at the plate, going 1-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Alyssa Morales, who got on base in four of her five plate appearances with two runs, two RBI, and one double. Haven Vickers was another key player, going 1-for-3 with two runs and one stolen base.
Crescenta Valley pushed their record up to 13-5 with the win, which was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season. Those home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.0 run on average over those games. As for Burroughs, their record now sits at 16-4.
Wednesday's matchup will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Crescenta Valley hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .417. However, it's not like Burroughs struggles in that department as they've averaged .401. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Crescenta Valley couldn't quite finish off Burroughs when the teams last played back in April of 2024 and fell 7-5. Can the Falcons avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
