The Landmark Vikings will face off against the Berwick Academy Bulldogs at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Berwick Academy took a loss in their last match and will be looking to turn the tables on Landmark, who comes in off a win.
Landmark's pitching crew heads into the game hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Monday. They were the clear victors by a 15-0 margin over Lexington Christian Academy. Considering the Vikings' hitters had been struggling lately, the high-scoring outing was a much-needed turnaround.
Casey O'Connor made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he struck out eight batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits (and not a single walk). Those eight strikeouts gave him a new career-high. He was also big at the plate, going 1-for-3 with two RBI and one run. That run marked the first that he has scored this season.

Landmark's speedy runners might be the difference in Wednesday's contest. The Vikings have been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 3 stolen bases per game. It's a different story for Berwick Academy, though, as they've been averaging only 1 stolen bases. Will they be able to secure the bases, or will Landmark continue to outrun the ball?
Landmark came up short against Berwick Academy in their previous meeting back in May of 2024, falling 5-0. Can the Vikings avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
