With a playoff win on the line, Westwood rose to the challenge  on Thursday. They walked away with  a   3-1  victory over the Chester Volcanoes. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won  3-2  on October 15th.

 Westwood was led to victory by  Elaina Strand and  Reagan Baehler.  Strand  had seven  digs and three  aces, while  Baehler  had 18  kills, 12  digs, two  aces,  and one  block. Baehler has been hot for a while, having  posted 11 or more  kills the last 11 times she's  played.
 Despite the  loss, Chester saw an underclassman step up: sophomore  Kylie Kistle  had 15  digs and two assists.
Westwood has  been performing  well recently as they've  won four of their last five matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-9 record  this season. As for Chester, their defeat dropped their record down to 19-14.
 Coming up, after both having extra time off, Westwood and Paradise Adventist Academy will shake off the rust and duke it out  on November 8. Chester does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
