Baseball Recap: Arizona College Prep Has No Trouble Against Dakota Ridge

The Arizona College Prep Knights got the win against the Dakota Ridge Eagles on Saturday by a conclusive 14-4. The result was nothing new for the Knights, who have now won six games by nine runs or more so far this season.

Ashton Sanchez was incredible, going 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, three runs, and four RBI. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in April of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Austin Longfellow, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 1-for-3.

The victory made it two in a row for Arizona College Prep and bumps their season record up to 10-3. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 6 runs in those games. As for Dakota Ridge, their loss was their eighth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 0-6.

Looking ahead, Arizona College Prep will host Campo Verde at 3:45 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Dakota Ridge, they will challenge Windsor at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Dakota Ridge's pitchers better be ready for this one: Windsor has averaged an impressive 9.6 runs per game this season.
