Twin Springs is 1-9 against Eastside since April of 2019 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Thursday. The Titans will challenge the Spartans at 5:00 p.m. Twin Springs will be looking to extend their current six-game winning streak.
While Twin Springs' win against Castlewood wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Titans sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 3-1 victory over the Blue Devils on Tuesday.

Makenzie Gillenwater was a major factor while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run while striking out 15 over seven innings pitched. She has been consistent for a while: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in nine consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-3 with two runs and one triple. That triple marked the first that she has hit this season.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Aubrey Meade, who went 2-for-3 with one home run and three RBI. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in March.
Meanwhile, it may have taken eight innings to finish the job, but Eastside ultimately got the result they hoped for on Tuesday. They narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past Rye Cove 6-5. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Spartans.
Like Twin Springs, Eastside also got a great game from a two-way player: Braelyn Hall. Throwing, Hall struck out 13 batters over six innings while giving up three earned (and two unearned) runs off only two hits. Meanwhile, Emma Sartin pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. At bat, Hall went 1-for-4 with three RBI, while Sartin went 1-for-4 with two runs.
In other batting news, Lexi Bond was excellent, going 2-for-3 with two runs. Another player making a difference was Zoe Sartin, who went 1-for-4 with two RBI, one run, and one double.
Eastside kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Rye Cove only managed four hits.
Twin Springs pushed their record up to 12-3 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road. Those road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 6.7 runs over those games. As for Eastside, their record now sits at 14-2.
Twin Springs skirted past Eastside 1-0 when the teams last played last Tuesday. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Titans since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
