Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but unfortunately for the Cottondale Hornets, they weren't the ones who walked away with it. They fell just short of the Pirates by a score of 44-41. The matchup was a 20-20 toss-up at halftime, but Cottondale couldn't quite close it out.
Despite the loss, Cottondale still got an impressive performance from Cameron Odom, who scored 15 points along with seven rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Kee'shan Hudson, who scored 12 points.
Cottondale's loss dropped their record down to 17-7. As for Sneads, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 18-8.
Cottondale does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Sneads' road trip will continue as they head out to face Bozeman on February 10th. Bozeman will roll in looking for their 12th straight victory, something Sneads surely won't give up without a fight.
