When it comes to explaining why South Brunswick lost, one person who can't be blamed is Jaelon Johnson. Despite the final result, he scored 20 points along with two steals. Johnson is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last three games he's played. Ziyon Smith was another key contributor, scoring eight points along with six rebounds and two steals.
Leading Topsail to victory were Caden Wilson and Rhett Britt. Wilson scored 17 points, while Britt scored 17 points along with five rebounds and two steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Wilson has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Duron Vaughn, who scored five points along with nine rebounds.

South Brunswick will head out on the road to challenge West Brunswick at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully West Brunswick focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 19 last Tuesday. As for Topsail, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against Laney at 7:30 p.m. Laney presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Topsail in North Carolina (Laney is ranked 38th, while Topsail is ranked 394th).
