Windsor Forest took a serious blow against Savannah on Saturday, falling 57-27. Windsor Forest was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 34-13.
Despite the loss, Windsor Forest had strong showings from Trinity Myers, who scored 14 points, and Katelyn Cabellero, who scored nine points. Those 14 points set a new season-high mark for her.
Savannah had a senior duo take command as Ernajah Mallard scored 21 points along with six assists and six rebounds and Tania Bryant scored 24 points along with eight rebounds and three steals. That makes it ten consecutive games in which Bryant has scored at least 25% of Savannah's points.
Windsor Forest has not been sharp recently, as they've lost four of their last five matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-6 record this season. As for Savannah, their win bumped their record up to 6-4.
Windsor Forest will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Appling County at 6:00 p.m. on January 2, 2024.
