After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Shelby County, Presentation was happy to have turned things around on Monday. They were the clear victors by a 15-5 margin over the Valley Vikings. The Toppers not only won on Monday, but they posted their biggest win since April 16, 2025 (when they won 18-3).
Joanna Logsdon made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out 12 batters over five innings while giving up three earned (and two unearned) runs off seven hits (and not a single walk). She has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than one walk any time she's pitched this season. She was also big at the plate, going a perfect 4-for-4 with two stolen bases, four RBI, and two runs.
In other batting news, Presentation got a big performance out of Khylie Malone, who got on base in four of her five plate appearances with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI. Kristianna Williams was another key player, getting on base in two of her four plate appearances with three RBI and two runs.
Presentation always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .667. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Valley only posted an OBP of .348.
Presentation now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Valley, their record is now 1-3.
Coming up, Presentation will face off against Portland Christian at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Eagles have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 12 runs per game on average), something the Toppers will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Valley, they will challenge Christian Academy-Louisville at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
