West Henderson is 2-8 against Enka since January of 2018 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Monday. The West Henderson Falcons will be playing at home against the Enka Jets at 8:00 p.m. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the pair posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.
Last Friday, West Henderson was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 61-56 to Hendersonville. West Henderson has struggled against Hendersonville recently, as their contest on Friday was their seventh consecutive lost matchup.
Meanwhile, Enka beat Thomas Jefferson 76-67 on Friday.
Enka's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Sam Waddell, who dropped a double-double on 20 points and 13 rebounds. That makes it two consecutive games in which Waddell has scored at least 25% of Enka's points. Another player making a difference was Isaiah Phillips, who scored 17 points along with 7 rebounds and 4 steals.
The wins kept both teams' perfect 1-1 season records intact.
West Henderson came up short against Enka when the teams last played back in January, falling 67-62. Can West Henderson avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
