The Franklin Panthers won the last time they faced the Tuscola Mountaineers, and things went their way on Friday too. Franklin breezed by the Mountaineers on the road to the tune of 66-37. With that victory, Franklin brought their scoring average up to 50.5 points per game.
Franklin's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Cali Queen, who scored 16 points along with four steals. Another player making a difference was Audrey Pressley, who scored 13 points along with eight rebounds and two steals.
Despite the defeat, Tuscola had strong showings from Kendall Williamson, who scored seven points along with eight rebounds, and Sofia Wijewickrama, who scored eight points.
Franklin has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five games, which provided a nice bump to their 10-8 record this season. As for Tuscola, they dropped their record down to 5-13 with that defeat, which was their fourth straight at home.
