Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only the Dundalk Owls walked away with it. They blew past Annapolis 54-27 at home. The victory was nothing new for Dundalk as they're now sitting on five straight.
Among those leading the charge was Cameron Myers, who rushed for 130 yards and a touchdown on only eight carries, and also threw for 15 yards and a touchdown while completing 100% of his passes. Joey Kasprzak was another key contributor, gaining 118 total yards and a touchdown.
Annapolis' lost on Friday despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Tyler Womack, who gained 116 total yards and a touchdown.
Dundalk pushed their record up to 8-2 with that win, which was their fourth straight at home. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 45.8 points per game. As for Annapolis, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-6.
Dundalk will head out on the road to face off against Broadneck at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Broadneck is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune. Annapolis does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
