In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Shailee Sexton, who went 2-for-5 with four runs, one double, and one RBI. Those four runs gave her a new career-high. Kacie Fraley was another key player, going 2-for-5 with three RBI.
Meanwhile, Riverside faced Hoover in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Thursday. The Warriors fell 6-2 to the Huskies. The Warriors just can't catch a break and have now endured three defeats in a row.
