Winning always takes teamwork, but on Monday Carsen Ellis stepped things up a notch to give Cherryvale the 'W'. Ellis made a splash, going 2-for-4 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one triple. Considering he played a big game the last time he faced off against Bluestem on Monday, the result shouldn't come as too huge a shock. Cherryvale is undefeated when Ellis posts two or more runs, but 2-12 otherwise.

Looking ahead, Ellis and Cherryvale will host Neodesha at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. The Chargers are 8-1-1 against the Blue Streaks going back to May of 2017, a lead they'll look to extend.
