The Monroe Hornets lost against the Ross Rams back in November of 2022, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. Monroe took a 55-45 hit to the loss column at the hands of Ross. While losing is never fun, Monroe can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 406th, while Ross is ranked 182nd).
Ross' win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Carmen Bosse, who scored 24 points along with six rebounds. Those 24 points set a new season-high mark for her. The team also got some help courtesy of Lanie Lipps, who scored 15 points along with five assists and four steals.
Monroe's loss was their third straight on the road, which bumped their record down to 3-4. As for Ross, their victory bumped their record up to 5-2.
Monroe will be home for the holidays to greet Fairborn at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Fairborn is still on the hunt for that elusive first 'W'. As for Ross, they will head out on the road to face off against Taylor at 7:30 p.m. on Monday.
