Basketball Recap: Baptist Hill's Losing Streak Is a Thing of the Past

Baptist Hill posted their biggest victory since February 2nd on Monday. They were the clear victor by a 67-45 margin over Ridgeland. The win was a breath of fresh air for the Bobcats as it put an end to their five-game losing streak dating back to last season.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Baptist Hill to victory, but perhaps none more so than Martrell Wright, who dropped a double-double on 13 points and 11 assists. Wright is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed four or more in the last three games he's played. Jaden Douglas was another key player, dropping a double-double on 18 points and 18 boards.

Wright wasn't the only one working in the assists department: Baptist Hill was working as a unit and finished the game with 19 assists. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their assist total in three consecutive matches.

Baptist Hill's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-3. As for Ridgeland, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 0-3.

Baptist Hill wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 77-45 defeat against West Ashley on the 10th. As for Ridgeland, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 60-29 loss against Baptist Hill on the 11th.
