La Serna extended the longest winning streak in Del Rio this week by beating Santa Fe, 31-3. The victory was the fourth in a row for the team.
El Rancho led the league in scoring this week after putting up 46 points on Pioneer. JOE SANCHEZ threw for 284 yards and two touchdowns and ran for 191 yards in the win.
The Dons' offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. JOHNNY GARCIA helped El Rancho's passing attack out by catching two balls for 82 yards.
JAVIER CARILLO was the best wideout in the league this week as El Rancho defeated the Titans. CARILLO tallied four receptions for 89 yards.
El Rancho's offense has been unstoppable this season and the Dons feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. SANCHEZ has thrown for 1734 yards and 11 touchdowns this season, while CARILLO has 41 catches for 628 yards. SANCHEZ also leads the league in rushing with 1141 yards.
The top two teams in the league will face off this week when first place La Serna takes on second place California. La Serna topped the Chiefs last week, while California beat Whittier.
