Redding Christian extended the longest winning streak in California - North (8 Man) this week by beating Happy Camp, 65-2. This was the team's seventh consecutive win.
Big Valley and Hayfork played the most hotly contested game in the league this week, with Big Valley eventually emerging with a 46-42 victory. Hunter Hawkins threw for 150 yards and two touchdowns and ran for 243 yards in the win.
Edgar Castellanos was the most productive running back in the league this week. In 44 carries, he ran for 356 yards as the Timberjacks defeated the Timberjacks. Teammate Brandon Klopfer added to the ground attack by rushing for 106 yards.
Trako Saluskin put up the best numbers through the air as Tulelake beat Westwood. He finished with seven completions for 272 yards and five touchdowns. Saluskin's favorite target this week was Dylan Miller, who caught three passes for 150 yards.
Ortega was the best wideout in California - North (8 Man) this week as Big Valley topped Hayfork. Ortega tallied four receptions for 158 yards. Collin Owens helped Big Valley's passing attack out by catching one ball for 28 yards.
On the ground, Randy Harrison's team's Castellanos has rushed for 1166 yards which leads the league. The leading receiver in the league this season is Ortega. The Big Valley star has 12 catches for 402 yards.
Dunsmuir's Justin Declusin is a mere 23 yards away from breaking the 1,000-rushing-yards mark for the season. Declusin has rushed for 977 yards on 50 carries so far this year.
A big matchup in the league this week will be when Redding Christian takes on Butte Valley. Gerald Piper's team is in first place, while the Bulldogs are in third place.
The Lion took down the Indians 65-2 last week, the largest margin of any game. Hayden Piper threw for 40 yards and one touchdown and ran for 124 yards in the win.
