University Lab (Baton Rouge, La.) extended its winning streak to six games with a 46-17 victory over
Dunham (Baton Rouge, La.) on Saturday.
After taking the lead on a touchdown run by
Nick Brossette in the first quarter, the Cubs led 34-3 at the half.
University Lab expanded its lead to 37 points entering the fourth quarter. UL scored once in the quarter on a touchdown run.
The Cubs' standout player in the win was Brossette. The sophomore running back ran for three touchdowns.
The Tigers came in allowing just 16.0 points per game this season. Led by
Tim Williams, University Lab came into the game allowing 11.3 points per game.
A 52-28 University Lab victory was the result when the squads faced off last season.
The loss comes after Dunham defeated Northeast 49-0 last week.
University Lab (8-1) goes up against Northeast in a 2A District 7 game matchup next week, while Dunham (4-5) locks horns with Episcopal also in a 2A District 7 game.
