Ralston came tearing into Saturday's match with three straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 4.3 runs), and they left with even more momentum. Everything went their way against the Auburn Bulldogs as they made off with an 11-1 victory. This was payback for the Rams, who suffered a 2-1 defeat the last time these two teams met.

Ralston got a great performance from Nick Benis as he pitched five innings while giving up just one earned run off two hits.

At the plate, Bryson Sargent was incredible, scoring two runs and stealing three bases while going 3-for-3. He has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last three times he's played. Another player making a difference was Jason Miner, who scored two runs and stole four bases while getting on base in two of his three plate appearances.

Ralston always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .545. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Auburn only posted an OBP of .158.

Ralston's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 4-1. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.3 runs over those games. As for Auburn, they now have a losing record of 3-4.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Ralston will square off against Malcolm at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. Ralston's pitchers better be ready for this one: Malcolm has averaged an impressive 11.6 runs per game this season. As for Auburn, they will face off against Nebraska City at 4:30 p.m. on Monday.
