Softball Recap: Montini Catholic Wins Going Away Against Geneva

Montini Catholic's game last Tuesday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Wednesday. They put the hurt on the Geneva Vikings with a sharp 12-3 victory. Considering the Broncos have won four contests by more than eight runs this season, Wednesday's blowout was nothing new.

Montini Catholic has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven games. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-3 record this season. As for Geneva, they dropped their record down to 1-5 with the defeat, which was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Montini Catholic will take on Resurrection at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Broncos' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Bandits have averaged an impressive 6.3 runs per game this season. As for Geneva, they will face off against Central at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.
