Wellington-Napoleon's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Melanie Thornburg, who scored 12 points along with 3 steals. Another player making a difference was Kaylin Ellensohn, who scored 5 points along with 7 rebounds and 5 blocks.
Concordia's win bumped their record up to 5-1. As for Wellington-Napoleon, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-4.
Concordia will head out on the road to face off against Lincoln at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Wellington-Napoleon, they will be playing at home against Penney at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
