League recap: Trinity Presbyterian extends winning streak with victory over Montgomery Academy

Trinity Presbyterian extended the longest winning streak in 3A Region 4 this week by beating Montgomery Academy, 21-7. The victory was the eighth in a row for the Wildcats.

Tarrant made the biggest jump in the national rankings this week, rising to 10,496 from 10,987. The improvement was the result of 38-14 victory over Ramsay last week.

5-foot-9 quarterback Allen Wood of Trinity Presbyterian is the league leader in passing yards this season with 1444. He has also thrown 14 touchdowns. On the ground, Central of Coosa County's Quon Benson has rushed for 506 yards which leads the league. The leading receiver in the league this season is Javaris Whetstone. The Central of Coosa County star has 38 catches for 483 yards.
