Lejeune proved they can win big  last Thursday (they won by three) and  on Tuesday they proved they can win the close ones too. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with  a  3-2  win over the Northside - Pinetown Panthers. This was a revenge game for the Devilpups: when they faced off against the Panthers  on September 11th, they had to take a  3-1  loss.
 Lejeune was staring down a 2-1 deficit headed into the fourth set, but they rallied to take the next two for the win. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 21-25, 25-22, 15-25, 25-23,  15-5.
Lejeune is  on a roll lately: they've  won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a massive bump to their 6-7 record  this season. As for Northside - Pinetown, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-10.
 We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Lejeune is set to  take on  their familiar foe East Carteret  at 6:00  p.m.  on Thursday. Meanwhile, Northside - Pinetown will  challenge  rival Pamlico County  at 6:00  p.m.  on Thursday.
