Leading Parkdale to victory were Hannah Youn and Ashai Sesay. Youn dropped a double-double on 16 points and 12 rebounds, while Sesay scored 17 points along with seven steals and five rebounds. Youn is crushing the block category: she's posted at least two every time she's taken the court this season. Nalani Miller was another key contributor, scoring 11 points along with seven steals.
Parkdale is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six games, which provided a nice bump to their 11-5 record this season. As for Bladensburg, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-13.
Parkdale will look to defend their home court on Thursday against Bowie at 7:15 p.m. Both teams are coming into the game red-hot, with Bowie sitting on six straight wins and Parkdale on three. As for Bladensburg, they will head out on the road to square off against Northwestern at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Bladensburg is coming into the contest with 16 straight defeats on the road, meaning Northwestern will have to defend against a squad hungry for a victory.
