If the Richards Panthers were riding high off their 61-14 takedown of the Buckholts Badgers last Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. Richards took a hard 49-33 fall against the Lions on Friday. If Richards was looking for revenge after losing 49-42 to them when the teams met, then they'll just have to keep looking.
Fayetteville was led to victory by Devynn Moeckel and Kayme Schley. Moeckel dropped a double-double on ten points and 12 rebounds, while Schley scored 18 points along with eight rebounds and two steals. It was the first time this season that Moeckel pulled down eight or more rebounds. Another player making a difference was Rylie Dyer, who scored seven points along with five assists and four steals.
Richards' loss dropped their record down to 10-10. As for Fayetteville, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 12-16.
Richards will be playing in front of their home fans against the Bulldogs at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. North Zulch is looking to tack on another W to their seven-game streak on the road. As for Fayetteville, they will challenge the Cubs at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Round Top-Carmine will be looking to extend their current eight-game winning streak.
