The Quaboag Regional Cougars will be playing at home against the Ware Indians at 5:30 p.m. on Sunday. Quaboag Regional will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Massachusetts Rankings (they are ranked 200th, while the Indians are ranked 94th).
Last Thursday, Quaboag Regional was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 46-41 to the Tigers. It was the first time this season that Quaboag Regional let down their fans at home.
Meanwhile, Ware waltzed into their game back in January with three straight wins but they left with four. They walked away with a 69-62 win over Monson. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.
Quaboag Regional has been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last eight games, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-7 record this season. As for Ware, they now have a winning record of 5-4.
Everything went Quaboag Regional's way against the Indians when the teams last played back in February of 2023 as the Cougars made off with a 62-36 win. Will Quaboag Regional repeat their success, or do the Indians have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
